Here’s another color that came up in a recent conversation. I posed the question on my Facebook page ~ If you were a color, what color would you be? ~
My friend Sheila resonates with the color Celadon. She described the color like this: “silver tinged slightly leaf green”. What beautiful imagery that stirred up for me! If Sheila were the color Celadon, I would tell her that she is earthy yet refined. Peaceful, understated, healing, with a natural sophistication. Elegant without any pretense. I haven’t seen Sheila in many, many years. But, knowing the color that expresses her energy, I can tell a lot about her. What a lovely spirit she has! I see a girlfriend’s lunch date in our future. 🙂
Here is my analysis of Celadon:
Celadon is peaceful and healing. There are undertones of elegance and natural sophistication due to the influence of silver/gray on the green. The green brings the natural, earthiness to the silver/gray. Celadon has both downward and lateral energy. Not still, but lateral. Think of water gently streaming down and then spreading across a surface in a smooth, gentle, and relaxed manner.
When I think of Celadon, I imagine Spanish moss hanging from the trees on a warm summer day. How elegant, yet earthy at the same time. The gentle flow of it… Being in its presence can be softly healing, nurturing… Even in the heat of the midday sun, I’m refreshed by the color of Celadon. My soul feels clean and at one with the earth. I become mindful that my body is made of earth elements that are represented by the color. I’m grateful to feel the connection where I can experience the energy of earth, water, and air, all at the same time by breathing in the beauty of Celadon.
